In the trailer for the show, viewers caught their first glimpse of the protagonist Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder who has become a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.
One of Marc’s distinct personalities is that of awkward British museum gift shop worker Steven Grant, whose life is turned upside down when he begins to communicate with Marc and starts to fill in the blanks in his memory.
The release of Moon Knight follows other Marvel launches on Disney Plus, including WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, What If…?, Loki and Hawkeye.
