Matt Hancock set to open home to seven Ukrainian refugees and their dogs

MATT Hancock will be living with seven Ukrainian refugees who have fled the warzone from the end of this week, we can reveal.

The former Health Secretary is bringing the family and their four dogs to his Suffolk property under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

He has come to the aid of a female constituent whose mum, two sisters, niece, nephew and his partner along with her nephew’s gran are heading to the UK.

The Tory MP will host the family for six months after calling the visa process a “challenge”.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “I got into this by instinctively making an offer to a constituent whose family was in desperate need.”
