THIS is the terrifying moment two allegedly drunk road workers drove straight at a dad, leaving him bloodied on the ground.
Nicolae Luca was on his way to the supermarket when the duo mounted the pavement and ploughed into him at speed.

He first noticed the men, one of whom was wearing an orange high visibility jacket, yelling near a car.
Nicolae, 37, then started filming them as he thought they were acting strange and feared they might harm him.
Before he knew it, the pair jumped into the small white vehicle with a flashing yellow light and sped off.
The sound of screeching tyres alerted Nicolae to look back before he was knocked to the floor.
Horrifying footage shows the crooks brazenly hurtling towards the dad, driving on the pavement and pushing him down hard.
Fearing for his life, Nicolae quickly gets up from the ground as the car flees the area.
But he was left shaken with cuts to his head, a bloodied hand, a fractured wrist and bruised knees following the incident in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
Nicolae, who thinks the men were road workers in their 20s and drunk, said: “I was walking and I saw the car that was on the side.
“They were very loud and they seemed very weird to me.
“[After it happened] I got up from the floor. I kept looking back and was afraid that they were going to come back for more.
“I was shocked in disbelief at what happened.
“Then I was scared walking down the street looking behind me and over my shoulder, thinking they were going to come back.
“I feared for my life. And then I was angry at them.
“I am not sure what made them make such a radical decision, I didn’t provoke them in any way.”
Nicolae quickly phoned for an ambulance and then the police but no paramedics or officers could make it to the scene.
“I took the taxi to the hospital where I found out I had a fractured wrist,” he said.
‘I FEARED FOR MY LIFE’
Nicolae woke up the following day to a stiff back and aching knees making going to work at the factory impossible.
But his main worry was for his family back home in Romania, where his wife and child live.
“I have to take care of them,” he said. “I was really concerned about not being able to provide for them.”
Nicolae does not know how long his injuries will take to heal, but worries it could take several months.
“I have been on medical leave since but my manager was quite supportive when I showed him the video,” he said.
The wounded husband and father-of-one is the sole provider for his family in Romania and said his wife was “scared and shocked” when he told her what had happened.
“She couldn’t believe something like this could happen in the UK,” he said.
I was shocked in disbelief at what happened.
Nicolae also said his protective six-year-old son was ready to defend him from 1,500 miles away.
He said: “My boy Alex saw the video and wanted to come to the UK and argue with them and ask why did they do that to me.
“He is very overprotective of me and is a lovely boy.
“They are stressed out and scared more than anything else.
“Unfortunately I am losing quite a lot of money at the moment.”
Nicolae hopes the crooks are caught and he can put everything behind him.
