Hamilton was in Malaysia for a short time alongside Mercedes team-mate George Russell.

The pair were in the capital city Kuala Lumpur for a Petronas Welcome Home Programme.

While at a petrol station, Hamilton had a short rest on a stool by one of the pumps.

Smart locals spotted the opportunity to make a quick buck as they put the seat up for sale on e-commerce site Shopee, complete with Hamilton’s ‘butt prints’.

And it proved to be no bum deal, as it scooped a crazy £525.

Sellers Lima Bintang Auto Parts listed the item described as “chair that F1 racer Lewis Hamilton sat on (Rare Item)” and it came with a guaranteed ‘authentic’ badge.

The seller also reportedly wrapped the rare stool to preserve “the freshness” of Hamilton’s “butt prints.”

Hamilton and Russell appear to be building up quite the bond since becoming Merc team-mates.

After recording a fourth and third-placed finish at the Australian Grand Prix at the weekend, Hamilton took Russell surfing in Melbourne.

The 37-year-old has also vowed to take Russell, who’s 13-years his junior, skydiving.

Charles Leclerc is currently leading the Driver Standings for the 2022 season after recording two wins and a second-placed podium.

Merc’s Russell is in second but well off top spot by 34 points.

Hamilton is down in fifth, whilst world champion Max Verstappen is in sixth.

The Dutchman has one win to his name this season but failed to finish the other two races due to faults with his Red Bull car.
