The converted-Portuguese star has seven goals and seven assists, with his side on the brink of returning to the Premier League.

However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the winger has already completed a medical to play his football at Anfield next season.

The move was rumoured throughout the January transfer window, with many believing it would get over the line before deadline day.

However, it wasn’t to be, and Carvalho has instead helped Fulham on their mission to return to the top flight.

Well known for an impressive Premier League 2 record, Carvalho does already have Premier League experience under his belt.

The attacking-midfielder featured four times for Fulham before they were relegated in 2020/21, scoring his side’s goal in a 3-1 defeat to Southampton at St. Mary’s.

Nevertheless, the deal finally looks to be going ahead, with Fulham left to look elsewhere to bolster their squad for next season.

However, according to The Telegraph’s John Percy, Fulham have honed in on their target – Shakhtar Donetsk’s Manor Soloman.

The Israeli international had begun to see regular football for the Ukranian side, before the season was postponed due to the Russian invasion of the country.

The 22-year-old winger, who has 28 caps already for his country, could be a good replacement for Carvalho, although the Portuguese Under-21 international normally occupies a central position.

If signed, Soloman’s first port of call will be to provide first-class service to Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian has a sensational 38 goals already in the Championship this season, and will be key for Fulham’s survival hopes should they get promoted this year.
